Gaia takes place in Orbtus, where earthquakes and the remains of an earlier civilisation drive the story. Professor Redwood asks new trainers to investigate. The campaign includes the New Elders faction.
The creator's feature list includes Pokémon from the first six generations, the physical/special split, Fairy typing, Mega Evolution and reusable TMs. These are useful differences to consider if you know the original FireRed.
Choose Gaia if you want a region-based Pokémon campaign. If your priority is extensive post-League content, compare another game before committing to this release.
Know which version you are playing
The RomHaven browser launch reached a v3.2 title screen on 5 September 2026. This was a launch check, not a full playthrough or an all-device compatibility test. No claim is made that the game is free of bugs.

Correction, 5 September 2026: removed the previous claims about a full postgame, replaced “Team Epoch” with New Elders, and removed unsupported promises of a bug-free release. Report a correction.
Before you start
- Check the title screen version before following a guide. A walkthrough for a different release can lead you to content that is not available.
- Use the in-game save menu and export a backup from the emulator toolbar. Keep the backup with a note of the game version.
- On a keyboard, the default player uses arrow keys to move, Z for A, X for B and Enter for Start. Open Control Settings if you want to check your mapping.
- Browser storage belongs to this device and browser profile. Clearing site data, using private browsing or switching devices can leave your save behind.
On mobile, check that the controls and audio work for you before investing in a long run. The desktop launch check does not establish compatibility with every mobile browser.
